WHAT AGE DOES MY CHILD NEED TO BE IN ORDER TO AUDITION?
Dancers must be between the ages of 10 and 18.
WHAT WILL MY CHILD NEED TO WEAR TO THE AUDITION?
Girls should wear tights, a leotard, and ballet slippers. Hair should be in a bun or, if hair is short, pinned back off the face. The preferred leotard color for the audition is black, but any leotard color may be worn if a black leotard is not available.
Boys should wear black tights, dance pants or black basketball shorts, a tucked-in white shirt, and black ballet shoes or socks.
HOW MANY CLASSES DOES MY DANCER NEED TO TAKE IF THEY ARE A COMPANY MEMBER?
The number of classes required is based upon the company level your dancer is placed into. This can range anywhere from 2 to 4 technique classes per week.
WHAT IS THE FINANCIAL COST TO BE A BALLET ETUDES COMPANY MEMBER?
There is a $25 audition registration fee per dancer. Upon acceptance into the company, there is a tiered fee required to formally accept your membership: $375 for for Novices, Trainees, Aspirants, Apprentices, and Juniors OR $500 for Seniors, Soloists, and Principals. There are no other fees required to participate in Ballet Etudes productions. The tiered fee may be paid in full or in 3 monthly installments.
